Today, we see this type of artwork all around us; some obvious and some not so obvious. The blending and manipulation of photography, often along with illustration, has become an artform in and of itself. The digital techniques used today have catapulted this medium into its own, and the possibilities are limited only by the imagination and skill level of the artist. Photo collage can reflect an idea, a concept, or an emotion, with anything from simple imagery to abstract abandon, in a way that is both powerful and mesmerizing, while visually rich and moving to the spirit.
